Last count I had 299 different iris clumps: Mostly Tall Beardeds(TB), but lots of Intermediate(IB), a few Minature Tall Beardeds (MTB) and an increasing number of Dwarfs (SDB). I have a few historic unknowns, but I don't count them since I don't know their names.

I also have a few Lousiana, Ensata & Siberians, but it's the Tall Beardeds that call to me... I don't have an Spuria.

Wanda, I love the pic in #3. Is Auburn Burgundy it's name or color? I looked on the iris register, nothing there?

Named "Auburn" registered Kleinsorge1945 It's very vigorous as most historics are. Looks like box # 3 is going to have Firebreather as it's 4th iris.

What? Has the US Mail actually gotten thru to you all? Hot & dry weather--perfect for shippimng iris. Enjoy--- if it cools a bit this weekend, I'll try to get more dug.

Recd. your box of iris in this mornings mail. They are now soaking in a transplant solution and will be set out yet today.

Talk about HOT, isn't it warm down there in Iowa? We had 100 most every day last week and so far this week it has been in the upper 90's with humidity to match.
How can you work in this heat?

Sandy, email me your address. As soon as these near 100 degree temps back off a bit, I have more iris to thin out.

Maxine--I'm supposed to help a nephew & family move tommorrow. Didn't sound that bad when I offered to do it 3 months ago. Going to be 98 degrees + 100 % humidity. And hotter on Sunday. No releif for the wicked, I guess.
