Capistrano Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

are there any sweet-scented daturas? if so, does anyone have any seeds/plantlets of these types and are there more than jsut one or two?

Corte Madera, CA

my purple datura (triple bloom) has a very sweet fragrance. i'm just finding out about seed production...

=)

Dundee, OH(Zone 5b)

There are numerous ones that have a wonderfully sweet scent.

d. wrightii & d. discolor being tops on my list
then I would have to say d. metel "Black Currant swirl"
with a close following by d. inoxia

many others smell wonderful too, but those are my top picks.

I will have plenty of seeds this fall, none ripe yet.

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

some of these plants smell nice but some do not, have you ever rubed the leaf between your fingers then smelt them it smells terrible. I have some in my garden but farmers around IN. hate them because they are invasive, and the seed pods are hard on animals feet.

LOL yes the leaves can be offensive, but the blooms usually overpower here so I don't mind.

OH farmers hate them too, but there were some growing near my horse pasture, blooms got inside part of the fence, perhaps that nasty leaf smell told our horse to leave it alone, because he never so much as nibbled that plant!

i'm intending on planting some back currant swirl around some dracunculus vulgaris, do you think the peasent scentwill overpower the unpleasant one?

Safety Harbor, FL(Zone 9b)
