Color is popping

I am loving the color that is showing in my containers right now. This is two planters pushed close together. Are everyone else's flowers surviving the heat right now?

I love your photo. I did the same thing to my flowers and posted a pic in the Photo forum.http://davesgarden.com/forums/fp.php?pid=1626127

SoCal is not as hot as TX in the summer, I would imagine, but I still have to water my plants every other day. The ones in clay pots dry out the quickest.

Thanks for sharing.

Oh I love that combination! Those are three flowers that don't do so well here with the heat. Usually verbena (yes?) and allysum dry out before I can water them again, so sad! Such pretty flowers- thank you for showing us that!

I'm glad you enjoyed the photo. Yes, it's verbena and allysum. And, yes, they sure dry out fast. But they are so beautiful that I have to get them every year. Most of my plants are in pots so I move them into the shade on really hot days.
