berrygirl, I was just examining the petunias I want to cut back. I bought these grown so I,m not sure if the leaves were removed or if the stem below the first leaves is just long. Is it still okay to cut back to 3-4 inches. Will the petunia sprout new bloosoms if I cut below the leaves?

You can cut them back to the first 2 to 4 leaves; which ever you prefer.
