ok, so... when i planted vegetables this spring I had limited space so i planted one of each kind o was planting. notrealizing that fruit requires pollination, will my eggplant give fruit this year? can i pollinate from the same plant? do i need to use diferent flowers? help!

Eggplant, like tomatoes, is normally self fruit ful.
oh thank god. it already had about two blooms, but they dried and fell off... just aborted blossoms? does it matter that it is of the cultivar "neon".
