They said it grows fast

And they were right. I'm amazed how healthy and how fast this cherry (ornamental) is growing even in the near drought! Granted, I've been dumping water on it, but even so trees I've planted usually don't do this well.
It hasn't stopped growing since spring...no joke.

What type of cherry?
My Amur Cherries haven't grown that well but I don't think they like the foot traffick.

However the little Bing cherry twigs I planted maybe 4 years ago are an easy 18' tall. Maybe they'll slow down now since they were supposed to be dwarf or at least semi I think. Also be prepared because it will probably sucker along the surface roots. Mine just start throwing up suckers this year and not right by the trunks but away from it where some roots are close to the surface or perhaps wounded when planting something in the bed. The next thing will be all the seeds and subsequent volunteer cherries you get to pull each year.

Still a beautiful tree and their metallic looking trunks.

I'll have to try to remember to get the tag out to ID it. It's just an ornamental though, not for fruit. Hopefully it'll flower well next year :)
