Is it too late....

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

To start a second round of MG's from seed? I have a bunch of Japanese MG seed I want to use, but don't want to plant them if there isn't time for them to grow and bloom. I also have some dwarf ensign (Convolvulus tricolor) that I would like to plant, but am afraid it is too late for them too..
Can someone please give some advice?

you could always just plant them in pots (with an upside-down tomato cage in the pot for a trellis)...
if the season proves too short for you, they can be brought indoors and put in a sunny window, when it gets too cold.
just a thought...
