Came across these while I was unpacking some stuff. I made them about 6-8 years ago. The "collars" are soft leather hand-sewn to the gourd.
The blue one was painted with an airbrush. The twigs in the background are NOT on the gourds, LOL. I should have moved the background stuff.
Here's another one, with an abalone shell inlay. The colors are a mix of metallic silver paints that didn't photograph well.
They are really gorgeous, woman! I'm jealous. They must've taken a lot of patients to make.

Actually, they are far from my best work, just my early trials, but they were fun to make. I usually give my best stuff away as gifts.
I am SO anxious to have a space to do some creative work again!
