Hey guys. Has anyone in our zone had any luck with Guara linheimeri? Indian Feather "Siskiyou Pink". I have heard, and our database says it is hardy to zone 6, but others say zone 5. I planted a few this weekend because I couldn't resist the pinky-purple blooms and foliage.
Any advice?
Nick
New plant to me
I have tried to grow Siskiyou PInk several times without success (in overwintering it, it does fine over the summer). This year I am trying a couple of new versions, whose variety names I can't remember, that hopefully are actually hardy. "White Butterflies" is also hardy for me; it is the pink that I have problems with.
i had pink for yrs-but i accidently tilled it under! ooops!
I just never borthered with it after that!
Thanks guys...I planted it in a southern bed, protected from the North by my house. I have planted it around a few large sized boulders... I guess I will just keep my fingers crossed. I got it on sale anyway :)
