aster ?????

first time growing annual asters from seed. do i need to pinch back the leaves, like i do with zinnia's and others?

Are you talking about China asters, callistephus? If so I raise these and don't pinch them, I don't pinch zinnias either. If you keep picking them they keep coming.

thanks lenjo. i'm not sure what type of aster i mean. i know it is an annual, that is it. well we'll see what happends. :-)

If it is callistephus, which it probably is since it is an annual, I think you will really like them. They are a wonderful cutflower, they have a really long cut life. Seems like most of the colors they come in are purple, pink and white. Good Luck.
