Something comes out at night and eats and tears the leaves from my dahlias (and there are only 4!) and leaves everything else in the garden untouched.
We don't have bunnies or groundhogs. Could it be mice? My husband?
Solutions?

With all the development around here, the deer are almost out of places to meander, but they aren't in my yard - yet.
I meant to say that, whatever it is, eats the petals only. Even the greens on the plants are intact. The %*@#$ even tears the petals out of unopened buds.
I need to check for dirt between my husband's toes in the morning.
