i have grown dats for a few years now but this year it seems i get one bloom only . what can i d to help it bloom more??? some one said bloom boost. i have a box but never tried it on anything.
i know the lack of blooms is probably rain related but last year my la fleur was full of blooms and this years seedling ( volenterr) only has one bloom.
any suggestions? they get water soluble miricle grow once a week. more???
thanks
okay question
I wouldn't give them more fertilizer. I fertilize with fish emulsion once a month, maybe. They're not heavy feeders, in my experience. What kind of light has it been getting? When we had 3 weeks of daily rain and gray skies my datura barely squeaked by with a bloom. A few days of sunshine fixes that right up and the buds pop right out. Maybe it needs more sun. I have my white datura sitting in direct, blazing sun all day here in South Florida and it's been blooming prolifically.
Same here... but I had saucers under two of the pots and the died back from over watering when the raines came through here.
