Weird Looking Siberian Iris....

McGregor, IA(Zone 4b)

I don't know where it came from, but I had moved it with several newer clumps of siberian iris, that had yet to bloom. Well, finally this one bloomed, but it was a japanese iris! Must have gotten it by mistake when I ordered the SI's, or who knows where it came from? I remember trying to grow some by seed years ago, but nothing came of that little experiment...or did it? Well, it has been in the coldest part of my north bed for the last two winters, so I guess I can start exploring a new addiction. YE HAW!

It's a wonderful addiction - Japanese irises. They are just so beautiful. No flower (to my mind) even comes close to a group of JI's fluttering in the breeze!
