Hi,
I'm wondering if any palm experts could take a look at this photo and tell me what I can do to cheer this little guy up. He's looking a bit droopy.
Thanks! :)
Pygmy Date Palm
What a cute little guy (or gal, lol). I've only had pygmy palms for a few years so I'm no expert or anything, lol, but I do love them. I have six of these in the ground and one in a container. They like consistant feeding and mine in the ground are watered well 2-3 times a week in the low desert. How long has this one been planted?
It's hard for me to keep track of what I fed when, so I started using Lutz palm spikes a few times a year and they work wonders. They have maintenance spikes and others for specific deficiencies. Some places carry Lutz spikes or they can be ordered online at their website, but I have my local nursery order them in. I get cases at a time since there's about 16 palms to feed. It costs about the same as ordering direct once shipping is figured in.
This is one of my babies. :)
