Woolly Aphid on hosta

Does anyone know if woolly aphids like hosta? These bugs seem to like the stems with the bloom coming out of the hosta. When I sprayed it, a lot of them hopped off, like a leafhopper. Pure white in color with a fat head and look fuzzy when on plant, also the ants are present.
