Does anyone know of an Iris database w/ pictures on the www?
If not, how about a supplier who has a pretty comprehensive listing w/ pics?

Is there an Iris database w/ pics?
I can't think of anything more comprehensive than Plant Files -- it's been a big help to me through the years. If it's the AIS checklist information you are looking for go to http://www.irisregister.com/

To help you use the plantfiles, you can use this link. Put it in your favorites.
http://davesgarden.com/pf/search.php
Then you can just enter Iris and browse, enter part of a name, type of Iris, etc.
Or you can get an alpha listing by going to the plantfiles and clicking on the pulldown menu on the left side of the page.
Enjoy!
If you are looking for a particular photo and you can't find it, sometimes you can ask here.
You can buy a CD for LAs from the LA iris society. No others yet.
BTW -off iris topic -North Star Lily Society has a GLORIOUS CD of martagons, with another one being made as we speak.

You can also try the iris society...
Thank you. Unfortunately, I could not find what I was looking for in plantfiles. I really just need to scroll through pics. AIS requires a fee to enter search, I am motivated to find the iris I saw, but not that motivated !
What are you looking for, perhaps we can help you look or one of us may have the information/picture you require and haven't gotten it posted yet.

I posted it in the Iris forum earlier under "yellow SI w/ blood red spots"
I appreciate everyone who has replied!
Many thanks to the whole group!!
