On our vacation last week to visit our oldest son, we stopped in Healdsburg, CA. Here are some of the lovely Clematis that were in bloom. All these pictures were taken with the permission of Chalk Hill Clematis Nursery.
The first flowering Clematis is "Alionoshka"
My Visit to Chalk Hill Clematis Nursery
I know I took a couple more photos. I'll add them as I look amongst our vacation pictures.
Beautiful photos of gorgeous flowers! Guess we all know now where your mystery photos are from :)
Looks like you had a grand time !
Its gotta be heaven going in there!!!
Isn't it great, wonderful to visit these nurseries you had previously read about? I think your pictures are great and I would want one of everything. LOL
I felt like a kid in a candy store!!! I wanted every single one of them, but my wallet said "NO"! I had to use a lot of restraint!
So nice to see your photos Shirley! At least I helped you to buy more....(for me!!!)
Thank you so much. They are doing GREAT! My Huldine grew about 10" since you brought it to me on the 11th of June. It is still in its container...the other 2 have been planted and are also happy. I think that having been cut back the growth was really stimulated.
It was great meeting you from across the country and spending the day with you, too. Glad to see you made it home safely!

C. "Huldine" is doing great, Margie! By cutting back some of its growth, it definitely stimulated the plant to produce more shoots and thus making it a fuller & more lush growing Clematis vine. It will definitely reward you next Spring!
All my Clematis plants arrived in very good condition, after travelling across the U.S. Packing them in pre-moistened disposable diapers kept the root ball from drying out. I've potted all of them up and will plant them in my garden this Fall.
I also very much enjoyed the day I spent with you, Tracy (Lilystorm) & Calif_Sue! We had so much fun!
We enjoyed visiting with you, too! I'm so glad you came.
I really enjoyed meeting you to, Tracy!
