Should it be this small?

This is the first flower I got. Is this single lilac datura? Is it supposed to be this small? The plant is only 1 foot high.

some of my seedlings are small too. the wacky weather.


most folks here will say pinch that flower off of there to make it grow more.

Pinch the first flower I ever get? It's very hard to do. Is it really true?

That is what they say to do with most flowers, I have a very hard time doing it but since the plant is so small it would help to give energy to the rest of it's growing.

its hard on me too . i hate pinching stuff but if you dont on some things they die right after they flower and its the only flower you get.

I did it. I pinched the flower off. It was hard.

I transferred the plant to a bigger pot. I hope that more room and new potting soil will help it growing.

You are a brave person!!!! Gosh I don't know if I could have done that or not... glad I haven't been tested.

are you aware of an upcoming gathering of DG members in SoCalif ?
there will be several members from Orange County
there will be plant trading & all kinds of neat things
it is being called the SanDiego RU but it is in Temecula

& i think there will be people with Angels Trumpets & Daturas for trade

Thanks Stever. How far is it from Fountain Valley? Are you going?

Temecula is about an hour away
i was already commited to a family reunion for this coming weekend
or believe me i would be there :-)
it looks to be a great turn out of DG'rs
i am only raising a cpl of Daturas
but have many many Brugs :-)
