My baskets in full June bloom

somewhere, PA

This is my best year (out of three years so far). Just about all plants are from seed.

They're beautiful! What's the white flower in front left on the first picture?

somewhere, PA

Thanks! The white is a calibrochoa.

tammy--so impressed with your beautiful baskets...can't believe the flowers are from your seeds! No doubt you are really enjoying your pretty porch this summer.

Love the planters and the bright blue decking! Such a nice change of pace from boring gray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tammy,

They look really pretty. Can you tell me what the plants are?

Thanks tabasco! We went with a pretty bright blue for our deck and
trim on the barn windows. I've never been one for bland colors.

Pirl - thanks! Now you can see I'm really not that neat. Zuzu was just being
very kind. (some boxes on the table + Annie having her lunch. She's an
18yr old cat that came with our property. Very sweet & very spry for her age).

Tmm - The airy small flowers in pastel shades are linaria (Northern LIghts from
Thompson Morgan.) I'm really pleased with them. The ends have calibrochea
(either purple or white). The center is a wall flower not yet blooming. YOu can
just see some bright blue in one - I've got cineraria (two per basket). Only one
of the four has bloomed. There's Asarina 'victoria falls' again, from Thompson
Morgan. Finally, theres small blue/purple flowers from monopsis (Thompson Morgan).

The only thing I didn't start from seed is the calibrochea. I haven't found a source
for seed yet. They are really terrific in containers. Just bloom forever.

Pirl - how about calibrochea!?!!!

Your planters are beautiful! I love the color of your deck...was it stained or just painted? Do you know the name of the color? I could just sit right there with your cat.

Tammy, luv your container and plants. Looks great on the blue deck.

Its a stain. The deck had been painted and what a pain! We hired someone to strip it
and then put on stain. That seems to be working much better. I believe it was a Cabot
stain - something colonial. And Levilyla Annie would just love it if you joined her. :-)

Tammy, your baskets are beautiful, and I still say you have a very neat house and garden, but I think you're losing track of a cat. Which cat is Annie? I see a gray and white cat on the table and an orange cat between the two chairs near the wall.

somewhere, PA

Hi Zuzu. Yep - Annie is the gray & white cat on the table. Rosie must
be the orange one between the chairs. They both came with the place.
It was just a wonderful bonus! Here's a pic of one of the containers with
Rosie a few years ago. Enjoying the late fall sun.
