I found this thing in a cacoon in my sprinkler. The photos look a little weird because I had to play around with it in Photoshop so you can see more of the details. Can anyone identify this?

Eeeew... what is this?
If it was in a cocoon, it was most likely a moth pupa. Since I don't know how large it is, I can't speculate too much on what kind of moth it could be, but most likely a giant silk moth (family Saturniidae) of some kind, maybe.
