Beet Greens for Leg Cramps...

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

Had a bad muscle cramp in the front of my leg today, and remembered reading yesterday about beet greens being composed of 25% magnesium.

Many other foods are high in magnesium, and I have tried them for leg cramps in my son. He broke his leg last year, so gets a lot of pains the dr says is "normal". Makes it difficult for him to sleep through the night.

Tonight at supper, I explained to him about the beet greens in his salad. He usually spits that part out, but tonight he ate them. He is still asleep, and I am STILL at the computer, cramp free as well.

Just wanted to pass it on. My relief was pretty quick, as I ate one while preparing the salad, and the cramp was gone when we sat down to eat!
