What's the latest you have planted tomatoes and still had a reasonable harvest in Aug/Sept?
How late?
Last year I had to replant my tomatoes mid to late June because of a freaky late frost. I think June 17th or so? In fact, I had to have Melody send me some suckers from Kentucky, and Weezingreens send me some plants from Alaska. There were none to be found around here.
They did just fine and caught up almost with where they should have been. I did get quite a bit of vine ripened tomatoes, but I also had lots to pick green and ripen.
I will finish planting mine this weekend. Ernie
I just finished planting mine yesterday. (Took me a week to do them all--I'm sooooo organized! ☺)
Rhonda
We are heading out of town tomorrow AM and will not return til next week so THEN I will plant mine. This will be a test. Maybe BLT's at Thanksgiving. Our weather has been rainy and cool for weeks.
