One confused squash

Augusta, GA(Zone 8a)

This is a cultivar I am growing out this year because I was captivated by the name "Flying Saucer".
It may be a space alien, because it can't decide whether to be a patty pan or a zuchinni. Good yielding cultivar, but flavor is more like a zuchinni.

I am growing this one too.

Mine have less green on them. In fact, they have almost no green at all. At least the ones I have harvested so far. Each one has a little different variation in color.

They taste pretty good. I agree, more like zucchini.

that's one ugly squash but It seems a good size to make zuke lasagna with.

Queen Creek, AZ(Zone 9a)

I have never seen anything like it. I am writing this down. My list of must gets is growing longer and longer.

That sure is one wierd squash, Farmer! Is it classified as a summer or winter squash?

Augusta, GA(Zone 8a)

It is a summer squash, in the 50 day day range, It's coming in with crooknecks Horn of Plenty and Dixie and the zuke Tonda de Nizza.

Timberlea, NS(Zone 6a)

That's a funky looking squash. Looks like a Horta--one of those rock eating monsters from Star Trek (original.)

Try doing a mind-meld with it and see if it says "No Kill I!" ;D
