I've been waiting for this one to get going, and today it let me see why i love the dark reds, but don't ask what it is because i have a bad habit of losing the identifying tag

Gotta ask,
Do you use the plastic label from the pot? If not, what do you use that will stand up to the water, etc?

O yea, mine bloom today also, its an Astic lily or a Oriental lily. Mine started opening good this morning. Its over 6' tall maybe 7'foot. Almost 2 foot over my head. SMILE.

I've never seen it grow this large.

Now I was thinking about that tall growth because I have one that is almost 5 feet tall, last year it was only about 2 feet tall. hhmm. Ill have to take a pic for you, if I rememember right its name is Americana and its a beautiful deep red. Cant wait for it to bloom, any day now.
