Do you fertilize your irises and if you do what do you use?
This is the second year for my irises and have never used any fertilizer on my irises. My SIL told me not to use any, but I would like to have some expert advise. If you do fertilize when is the best time to do this. I need all the help I can get.
Thanks a bunch
Linda

Do you Fertilize your Irises??
I always give my irises a shot of bone meal 4-6 weeks before they bloom. I also add some fertilizer to the soil each time I divide or re-plant them. Any good bulb fertilizer will do. Just make sure it's zero or very little nitrogen (the first number).
