What would anyone suggest for two blue princess hollies that have lost most of their leaves because of two unfriendly winters in a row? There is new growth at the ends, but little between that and the main branches. Will hollies develop leaves from old wood if I cut them back severely? The bushes were planted twelve years ago, and stand about six feet tall. As they are, they're an eyesore, but I hate to give up on them if some type of pruning would help restore them.
