They've taken awhile to get established but have definately been worth the wait :) Sorry it was almost dark when I took the photo.
C. texensis, "Gravetye Beauty"
Could you post another picture?
will do tomorrow when there is light.
I managed to get the picture. It just looks dark as a thumbnail but enlarged you can see the flowers: beautiful deep blood red.
Wow--sort of Christmassy. How long does this one bloom?
That is a gorgeous vine. Where did you find it? Thanks, Barb
Shirley1md had it in her clematis co-op; though I didn't buy it through the co-op :( I found it at 75% off in November 2 years ago at a local nursery, but the tag still says the same place from the co-op - Shirley did a great job on the ones I did get :)

Wow. I am going to have to pay more attention to the Co-ops. Thanks for the link, Barb
Dea, it's beautiful! I love the Texensis varieties! They are all so charming!
Oh boy that is totally awesome, stupendous, gorgeous, etc, etc!!!! One I've had my eyes open for but can't find....sigh.
:) Donna

It is a wonderful nursery...
Thanks for the link except I see now it's not for my zone and it's in the US.

Oh...I am so sorry...I didn't look carefully where you were from!
Too bad... :-(
Garden Imports in Canada has it for sale... their site says it's hardy to zone 4!

Thanks, IIikeTVO! I knew I had seen it somewhere in Canada as zone 4.
:) Donna
I ordered one too, I was on the fence trying to decide which cultivars to try this year but the pictures here convinced me! :)
