Hair ideas for my scarecrow

This year she will be dressed in a serape with a wild Mexican mask we bought in Mexico. I have a glass head and just need hair. I know I could buy a wig but does anyone have any other ideas.

In former years I braided yarn and she had braids coming out of her hat.
