Doesn't seem to be as lavender in color this year - is that a soil thing?

It's lovely, Dea! There is a tinge of lavender color in the very middle of the bloom and on some of the tepals. Where are you growing it? Full sun, pt sun or pt shade? Some Clematis varieties can get bleached out by full sun. The color of this one is described as "silvery mauve maturing to silver".
