No matter which type gardening you prefer there is something about it in this book.
Short on space, he has some great ideas. Ever plant in your driveway, he did!
Step by step instructions, great pictures. Bugs, got ya covered. How much to feed, or not feed, got ya covered.
This guy is down to earth, got his feet on tha ground. The best, easy to read I've ever found.
He lives in Vermont but has planted, mostly all over. Demo gardens for schools and TV.
There will be several pic from the book it self.
Haha I only found out how to do this. Didn't know I could!
Pictures are random........

I have the link in the blogroll section at: http://gardenbycharlie.blogspot.com/
Did you click the 'Open this book' They let ya read several pages, for those that don't know.
Haha, did ya notice the used prices?
I paid a different price than what is shown now. Some prices jus get better huh.
Happy reading.
Yep I noticed the use price and it's even cheaper on ebay! They have some for 2 bucks!
Hey speakin of beans..my lower leaves on my beans always wilt and have brown spots on them..Why?
hey charlie,
I have two of those books! I love them. One is the same as yours, taped, yellowed, dirty ect.. The other is kept as a back up and in mint condition. I love his gardening ideas and they work well for me too.
When you water are you splashing them? are they getting enough air sown there?
Air sown? Ahh how do you do that?

Heycharlie..... I have BOTH of Dick Raymond's garden books from 1983 & 1985.
I agree with you!!! I "cut my gardening teeth" on these two books along with
Bob Thompson's Victory Garden.
Hey sunnyskies, cottonpicker;
Glad ya got them. Sounds like ya like & use them too.
Speaking of Victory Garden, Planted my 1st one somewhere jus before the war was over. If I remember correctly,
(60 whatever years is a long time to remember)
there was a seed that sprouted. Guess that hooked me lol; not really was Uncles in Ok did that.
Cottonpicker, what part sooner, tejas country

She cooks complete meals. Hundreds of recipes using things you might grow yur self.

Well... I just ordered all three of these. I noticed that the publisher was Storey Press... I have loved all of their books. I have the one on Tomatoes that is half cook book but my real favorite is The Vegetable Gardeners Bible by Ed Smith. It is from them as well and i am sure you would love it.
