help to many crook neck squash

when my garden started comeing in it went wild ,i have so much crook neck squash i don,t know what to do with it ive gave away a lot,do any one know how to keep it in a freezer are even can it.. i heard it wasn,t good either way. has any body done it please let me know thanks
