Has anyone here ever tried growing currants in containers?
Currants in containers?
I've had raspberries in containers, and had my one currant bush in a pot about a year. Both grew better in the ground.

How large was your currant pot? I have a couple of them, each 3 gallon pots right now. I was considering goint to at least a 5 gallon bucket and possibly something larger than that.
What size pot were your raspberries in? I could see them filling out pretty much anything in a year or so. I started with 6 plants one year and the next had over 150.
Kerry, the currant was in a 3 gal. pot, and the rasp. in 1 gals, just for holding over. They don't set much fruit that way, nor put out runners, but I was moving so no choice.
