Today I was looking at my mint and saw what appeared to be webs crossing the leaves. I tried to pull them away and found out that they were very tough and weren't breaking away. I looked closer and saw that formed under the leaves were these white cocoon like things. I found three of them on the plant. They were about 3/4"-1" long. Each one had formed under a mint leave, but had the tough strands attaching to other leaves. I cut those leaves off, but I was wondering if anyone had an idea to what that could be. I don't have a camera or I would have posted a picture. Any ideas?
