This is nigella. I have white and blue that self-sow and come back year after year. A couple of the white ones now are streaked with red, as shown in the picture. Also, on the right side of the picture you'll see that the foliage is tipped in red. Is this a normal color variation or mutation or a disease?
Have you seen this?
If this turns out to be mutation-- I would love to have a seedhead or two! I have the blue and white mix myself (hey maybe mine will do it!)

I used to have pink/light rose colored ones but over time have only shades of blue and white left. I do not remember red foliage though. It is beautiful whatever its parentage lol.
There were originally some pink ones (solid pastel pink) in this mixture but I pulled them all out since pastel pink looks wimpy with my color scheme and I haven't had any of them show up in years.
