Seedsower was asking about using tomato cages for topiaries, so I thought I would show you what I did with mine. I wrapped the wire with raffia and it came out really good. It looks like bamboo. I still need to find something to put on the tip for a finnial.
I was given this small ivy by my neighbor, it was in a small pot. It started growing long tendrils and I didn't know what to do with it. When I thought of this tomato cage, it became a perfect solution. I just wrapped the tendrils of the ivy up the cage and it is filling in nicely.
