Painting Tomato Cages-any special preparation?

I would like to spray paint some tomato cages to use as inexpensive, contemporary looking trellises for the containers I am planting where I work.

Does the galvanized metal of these cages need any special preparation for the spray paint to adhere nicely?

Any advice is appreicated!
