I made this vessel with gourd pulp mixed with cotton linters because gourd pulp has no long fibers to hold it together.
Just a wet layer on the outside of the twigs, and another wet layer inside, plus some feathers stuck in-between. Left to dry for couple of days. I'd say about 80% gourd pulp.

When you say "cotton linters" do you mean the stuff out of the dryer filter?

Nope. That's a product you can buy in a place that sells handmade papers (or online)... It comes in thickish sheets and you just tear off a section and add it to the water and pulp, and mix well.
