Leaf Mold

Hey guys, got a question for ya'll. I was cleaning out the very shaded bed at my store today and pulled up a bag full of leaf mold. It came up in 1/4" to 1/2" thick sections. I think I remember seeing something about it being great for a compost bin but can't find it or remember. Would it be good to add ???

Geez, if it's straight leaf mold, I'd dig it right into the veggie garden. Especially in the carrot bed. You lucky duck.

Hey Zeppy, If I had a veggie garden I would but all I grow down here are Native TX plants and flowers for Butterflys and Hummers. It seems that the Holly Fern bed at my store grow leaf mold regularly. In the past two years I have pulled out 3 bag fulls. Bags the size of what you get 40lbs of mulch from.

.. use it straight.. great for most plants, including rhododendron, azaleas, hollys and anything else you can think of.
You do not need to compost leaf mold .
