I just noticed this evening that several of my hanging baskets of petunia have 'rotted' or died for something. There is plenty of drainage and some of them are ok but why are they kicking the bucket on me?

Is it to wet for my petunias
If the soil is not very well draining, or they are kept consistently saturated, they can rot. Also, cool and wet temperatures early in the season can sometimes do them in. They seem more apt at handling cold temperatures in the fall.
the drainage is fine and the other plants are doing ok. it's the millionbell petunia that's the problem. They came from the same nursery so there may have been a bad batch too. They could be in shock.
