feeding new daylilies

North Wales, PA(Zone 6a)

Just planted them in new pots (prairie blue eyes and sombrero way). Purchased about a month back and have finally been able to pot them up. They have 3 or 4 buds on each but none has bloomed yet. Should I feed them? I have heard conflicting advice on feeding new DLs. I would use Miracle Grow, weak solution. This is what I use on my established stellas but wasn't sure about new transplants.

Thanks for the help!

Sansman,
I feed seedlings just a few weeks old. How old are these Daylillies? If in doubt, use a weak 10-10-10 fertilizer would be my suggestion or go a bit lower. Are you going to cross those two? I bet the babies would be stunning. Of course you are talking to someone who would rather have pollen and a seed pod more than the plant it came from. Of course you need to have a few flowers to pollinate a few hundred Daylilly flowers so of course one must have a few actuall plants to set seed on. Wishing you luck with your Daylillies.
