Elaeagnus Ebbingei Coastal Gold

Is anyone able to tell me if and when to prune this coastal gold variety? I live in North East England at the coast..

I don't know that particular colour variety musiara, but have Elaeagnus ebbingei 'Limelight'.
E ebbingei flowers mid autumn, so I would recommend pruning in early spring so that it can refurnish with new growth at the natural time and you don't lose the flowers.
However, these are usually 'tough as old boots' shrubs, so if one has outgrown its space, trim it back any time :)
