Does anyone know how to safely remove mold from clay pots? Since clay is porous I was thinking I shouldn't use any chemical that would be harmful. I inherited a really nice strawberry pot and was going to grow herbs, but it is covered in mold. Is there anything I can use to remove the mold, but won't later hurt the herbs?

a 10 percent bleach solution won't hurt (9 parts water and one part bleach). Scrub and then rinse well.
