My very first Dutch Iris are blooming

Seattle, WA(Zone 8b)

It now appears the bag of bulbs/rhizomes was mislabled at HomeDepot. These are indeed Dutch iris and not Siberians at all.

I just love this shade of blue.....whatever they are :-)

I hate to tell you, but neither one of those look like Sibs to me. I don't know what they are, though.

Well it's official the bag was mislabeled.......what I planted were/are Dutch iris not siberians.
Sorry for the incorrect thread topic title (wish that could be edited) ;-(

If I had ever grown Dutch irises myself, I would have been able to recognize them for you. I should have asked you if they're growing from bulbs or from rhizomes. DUH!

They are lovely, anyhow.

Just one more example of why the identifications of irises purchased from "marts" should always be taken with a BIG grain of salt. ;-)

Lovely anyway. I love the color combination. I have these from Lowe's marked Dutch iris.

:-) Another lesson learned I guess.
I bought them for the color blue of the package pic, so at least that held true :-)
