Light Green Leaves

Deer Park, TX(Zone 9a)

Some of my container plants have light green leaves. What should I feed them that is organic? The ones in question are my blue handflower, pansies (not all of them) and my penta. I fed them some alfalfa pellets and that helped for a while now the leaves are starting to become light green again.

Thanks,

Try blood meal (available in 5 lbs bags at garden centers). Use it sparingly, but it is a good quick release organic source of nitrogen.

Thanks, I'll try that.

You could also try using fish emulsion (5-1-1). I mix it 1-2 tblsp. per gallon of water and pour right over the plants. You can smell it for a day or two but it tends to green plants up very quickly.
