Vine Peaches?

Mars, PA

Has anyone heard of Vine Peaches??? Four Seasons Nursery is offering "Vine Peach Seed" free with any order. They claim the peaches are "the same size, color and food value as tree peaches...with texture and flavor much like a mango". Just curious--has anyone grown them?

There was a thread about those some time back but I can't remember where it was.
Edited to add:
I think they are some kind of melon like what we call a "plum-grannie" and they are very fragrant. Try "cucumis melo" in a search and see if that's it.

I planted these before. They are a type of melon. They get about the size of a baseball. Smell sort of like a cantalope. I didn't care for the taste at all.

I grew them in the greenhouse last year, but they died shortly after transplant...
they need a warm, long growing season...I bought more seeds, ...maybe I'll try again....
