I miss my iris and clematis. I did manage to get blooms from Japanese and Louisiana iris this spring, but we don't have enough cold for the Siberians. Your flowers are beautiful!

Thank you. It is a challenge keeping the clematis roots cool enough here. I can imagine it is nearly impossible there.

Lisa, have you tried shading your Clematis roots with a flat rock? That way it will stay moist and cooler.

I was using mulch, but that is a great idea. I have a bunch of pea gravel.
