Historic iris

Farmington, ME(Zone 4b)

I must be doing something wrong! I've been trying to look up some old threads. Sites to look at historic iris. When I put historic iris in the forum search box, I only get one thread. I've been using HIPS and Argyle Acres, but would like more. I would appreciate your help.
Thanks

You might want to contact Neil. He has a thread at:

He is quite a resource.

Another source is Superstition Iris Garden

Aside from HIPS and Argyle, the only other significant sources of historic iris pics I know of are Superstition:

Garden of MU

and if you are searching for pics of specific cultivars, the iris-photos mailing list archives

Laetitia Munro has uploaded a lot of pics of historics to iris-photos over the last several years.

I have pics of some historics on my website, as well. With any luck at all, I'll be adding a lot more after this bloom season.

Thank you both!!
Laurie I was just at Shadowood site today! I didn't realize that was your web site. Your photos and information are wonderful! It is so nice of you to share them!

Bonnie,

I'm glad you enjoyed my site. Stay tuned ... there'll be lots more iris cultivar pages added after bloom season this year ... I hope!

The Garden of MU is great also! Is this a private garden or do they sell also?

The Garden of MU is a private garden owned by Mike U.

I agree laurie, thank you for the Shadowwood site. I hope that you're enjoying your new cultivars. I love that I can access cultivars from google there. You were right about Sutton's. Still not open in the middle of April.

I don't know how you do it and take care of horses at the same time but thanks.
