Meyers lemon

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

I just bought a meyers lemon. Does anyone know of a good website where I can get some information on growing this lovely!

Oakland, CA(Zone 9b)

If you do a search just here within DG you will find 138 references and discussions threads for Meyer lemons.

My experiences with them are posted in this recent thread:

Lee's Summit, MO(Zone 6a)

I have one, grown in a big pot, and it doesn't do much here in our climate. Last summer, I placed it on the concrete patio, in full sun, and got about 3 blooms and no fruit. It doesn't grow very fast IMHO.

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

The first two links deal with Florida citrus for the home gardener The citrus topic at this website is hugh. The last link, from Perdue University, deals with the Meyer Lemon. Given their growing needs, they are easy to grow. I used to live in San Jose, CA and my Meyer Lemon bloomed all year round with fruit of all sizes. Here in central Texas, Meyer Lemons bloom only twice a year. The trees are smaller than other citrus, but can still get 8 to 10 feet tall. The dwarf variety gets about 6 feet tall smaller in a large pot.
