whenever i repot my veggies into bigger containers i always put a little soil at the bottom and place the plant on top and then fill in the rest. is this the best way to do it??
thanks
repotting
That's what I do also, figuring the roots need space to go down as well as out. I don't recall ever seeing precise instructions on the technique, but that method makes sense to me. Of course, tomatoes and sometimes, peppers, are the only veggies I repot. The others are either direct seeded or directly set out from first potting.
yuska - thanks. just wanted to make sure.
That's what I do too....just a little in the bottom and put the plant in deeper (tomatoes)
