Fascinating website about weathers solar and earth

(Zone 7a)

Thought you might find this interesting:

http://www.noaa.gov/solar.html

There are two especially interesting topics to scroll down and click on:
"A Primer on the Space Weather" and
"Frequently asked Questions about Space Weather"

My pea patch is calling me on this sunny, spring morning, so I haven't read the above very closely, but one question they address on the "Frequently asked Questions" link is whether earthquakes can be predicted from events in space weather. They say solar phenomena is too random to use as a predictive factor in earth weather. Whenever I bump into the word "random", I wonder about what there remains to discover; that is, what they don't yet know. Who was it that said "There are no accidents"?

I guess it's obvious right now how far I'm going to get with that pea patch this morning, but it is a glorious place to ruminate.

Very cool link! Saved it to my "weather" favorites. Thanx!
